Birmingham man turnes leaves into green gold

By Victoria | Sep 30, 2008

The Leaf Log, as the invention is known, is the brainchild of Peter Morrison, who as chief executive of BioFuels International has already developed several of his green ideas into moneyspinners.

Leaf Logs are approximately 1kg – 1.3kgs in weight, consisting of approximately 65%-75% leaves and burns for over 2 hours.

Consumers simply place each log on the grate and light the bag and then enjoy the warmth and aesthetics of a real fire. Providing immediate ignition from an open flame,

Leaf Logs require no kindling or firelighters and produce a clean smoke-free flame. The fine dust which is left (less than 1%) can then be used to fertilize gardens.

Mr Morrison is now waiting with his business partner Sharon Warmington to get exclusive trademark rights for the Leaf Log before it hits the shelves.
